The American Folk Festival welcomes groups and Motorcoach Tours!
As an admission-free event, the American Folk Festival is an excellent option for your group or tour. Bring your group to the AFF for one, two, or even three days of the music, crafts, activities, and food and you’ll see why this event is the premier music destination in Maine!
Drop-off and Parking: It’s easy to drop your guests off right at the center of the Festival when you come down Main Street, turn onto Railroad Street and stop at the corner of Railroad and Summer Streets. This puts your guests at the Festival’s largest stage (the Railroad Stage), within easy walking distance of three other music stages, plus a narrative stage and demonstrations, crafts sales, and food courts.
Drivers can park buses at Bass Park, or several of the other large lots in and around Bangor.
Group Admission: While the AFF is an admission-free event, festival-goers are encouraged to make a donation to the “Bucket Brigade” volunteers who walk throughout the site, asking for support to help keep the event free of admission.
Festival Seating: As an outdoor festival, a variety of seating options are available. In some places, attendees sit on the ground (on a blanket or towel that they’ve brought), or in folding chairs that they’ve brought. At other stages, there are folding chairs already set up and ready for the audience.
